The Edge

She nears the edge,

holding her last breathe

Her heart beats heavily

awaiting what will be

Maybe it won’t be…

Maybe it will all break evenly

Slowly colliding into a motionless remedy

Or Maybe it will be…

Suspense tosses her to the wind

Leaving her to brave the cold upon her skin

Sometimes she wonders

WHY she dives in when all else is uncertain

Wish I could say I’m not easily fazed

I’m resiliant

Impossible to break

The truth is I’m fragile like a vase

Ive been shaken

Ive been replaced

I built a wall no one can break

It’s lonely here but its safe

None can tear me

None can take me away
